We don't ask you to take our word. We show our work.
A plain-English account of what NAD⁺ is, what the research does and doesn't establish, and why we formulated NMN–01 the way we did.
A molecule in every living cell.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — NAD⁺ — is one of the most fundamental molecules in biology. It's present in every cell you have, and without it, those cells stop producing energy within minutes.
Think of it less as a nutrient and more as a currency. Your mitochondria spend NAD⁺ to convert food into usable energy. Your DNA-repair enzymes spend it to fix damage. A family of proteins called sirtuins — associated with cellular resilience — cannot function without it.
NAD⁺ isn't stored in any meaningful reserve. It's continuously made, spent, and recycled. Which means the size of your working pool matters, every single day.
The pool shrinks with age.
This is the observation the entire longevity field is built on: NAD⁺ availability declines as we get older.
Research across tissues and species has repeatedly found lower NAD⁺ levels in older organisms than in younger ones. The mechanisms are debated — increased consumption by repair enzymes, reduced synthesis, or both — but the direction of travel is consistent.
What that decline means for how you feel day to day is a harder question, and one we'll treat honestly in Chapter 05.

Why a precursor, not the molecule itself.
You cannot usefully swallow NAD⁺. The molecule is large, charged, and poorly absorbed intact — which is why serious formulations use a precursor instead.
NMN sits one step away from NAD⁺ in what biochemists call the salvage pathway. Your cells already run this pathway continuously. Supplying NMN is less like introducing something foreign and more like restocking a shelf your body was already using.
Ingestion
NMN is absorbed from the gut and enters circulation.
Cellular uptake
It's transported into cells, where the salvage pathway operates.
Conversion
The enzyme NMNAT converts NMN into NAD⁺.
Utilisation
NAD⁺ fuels mitochondrial energy, DNA repair, and sirtuin activity.
What the research actually shows.
Here is where most supplement brands overstate. We'd rather draw the line clearly and let you judge.
NAD⁺ is essential to cellular function
This is foundational biochemistry, not a marketing claim. Energy metabolism, DNA repair, and sirtuin activity all require NAD⁺.
NMN raises NAD⁺ levels
Human trials have shown oral NMN supplementation increases blood NAD⁺ levels relative to placebo.
Functional benefits in humans
Trials have explored effects on aerobic capacity, muscle insulin sensitivity, and fatigue. Results are promising but early — smaller samples, shorter durations.
Extended human lifespan
No NMN supplement has been shown to extend human lifespan. Any brand implying otherwise is ahead of the evidence.
What we don't know.
A brand that only tells you the good parts is selling, not informing.
Honest limits of the evidence
Long-term human data is limited. Most NMN trials run weeks to months, not decades. Long-term safety and benefit profiles are still being built.
Raising NAD⁺ is not the same as feeling better. That blood NAD⁺ rises is well supported. That this reliably translates into how you feel is not yet settled, and individual response varies considerably.
Regulatory status has been contested. NMN's status as a dietary supplement ingredient has been the subject of ongoing regulatory discussion in some jurisdictions. We'll always tell you where things stand.
We don't make disease claims. NMN–01 is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If a brand tells you otherwise, walk away.
We built NMN–01 because we think the underlying biology is compelling and the formulation standards in this category are poor. Not because we think we've solved aging. Those are very different claims, and we'd rather you buy from us knowing the difference.
Read the label. Read the lab report. Then decide.
Every batch of NMN–01 ships with a verifiable Certificate of Analysis.
